Prudence Johnson and Dan Chouinard share their interpretations of classic standards of the 30s and 40s in voice and piano, interspersed with period photos and memories of the era from Minnesotans of all stripes!

Prudence Johnson’s career has taken her from honky-tonks to Carnegie Hall, from the theater stage to the silver screen, from the Midwest to the Middle East. She is a regular guest on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion, broadcast on National Public Radio stations across the country, and appears as on of the “regulars: in Robert Altman’s 2006 movie A Prairie Home Companion.

Pianist, accordionist and occasional storyteller Dan Chouinard is a Minneapolis native who plays, tours and records regularly with an ever-expanding roster if musicians and writers. He also works occasionally on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor, and served as rehearsal accompanist to Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin and Lindsay Lohan on the set of the Robert Altman A Prairie Home Companion movie.
