			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://larl.org/files/2010/02/william-durbin.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-835" title="william durbin" src="http://larl.org/files/2010/02/william-durbin-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>Author William Durbin will share the craft of writing historical fiction at the <a href="http://larl.org/moorhead/">Moorhead Library</a> on Monday, March 29 at 7 p.m. He will share how to use people and events from your personal and community history as the basis for writing creative fiction. Durbin will share a collection of archival photos and discuss how he wrote and researched his novels, most of which are set in the Midwest and deal with familiar subjects such as immigration, homesteading, logging, mining, the Great Depression, and war.</p>

<p>The Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund (ACHF), which provided support for this program, was created by Minnesotans who approved a constitutional amendment in November 2008 which increased the state sales tax to support Minnesota&#8217;s arts history and cultural heritage.</p>
