This is the second of our Wellness Wednesday Series.
The presenter for today’s topic will be Tim Denney from the Northwestern Mental Health Center in Crookston MN. http://www.nwmhc.org/
Nearly one-quarter of the general population will be affected by a mental health disability in any given year, and over 40% over the life span.
This topic takes a special focus on the mental health of our children. What are the most common of these difficulties, how do they develop and how are they overcome? Answers to these and other questions will be provided in an interactive, discussion-oriented presentation led by Tim Denney, Training Director at the Northwestern Mental Health Center.
Attendees will learn about the commonality of mental health difficulties, practical responses by friends and families, and how these difficulties are not to be feared but can be treated effectively in a local setting. This “non-professional” approach to mental health will be approachable and comfortable for anyone in the community.
