This is the fourth of our Wellness Wednesday Series
The presenter for today’s topic will be Shannon Kronlund from the Northwestern Mental Health Center in Crookston MN. http://www.nwmhc.org/
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in their landmark report on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), have identified a number of common traumatic experiences in childhood that may affect people throughout the life span. Shannon Kronlund, childhood trauma services leader at Northwestern Mental Health Center, will explore the types of trauma identified in the ACE study, talk about life-long implications, and explore appropriate responses and interventions for families and professionals. This will be of interest to parents or other family members who may have children with traumatic experiences in their past, as well as anyone working with children in a community, church, or school setting.
