<p>Dr. Anton Treuer (pronounced troy-er) is Professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University.</p>

<p>Dr. Treuer was also featured in the Emmy-nominated documentary film <em>First Speakers: Restoring the Ojibwe Language</em>.</p>
<p>His interactive program on Ojibwe history and culture includes information about treaties with the US government and the effects of immigration on the Ojibwe people.</p>

<p>Minnesota native Bruce D. Flaig worked as an analytical chemist, a biochemistry lab technician, computer programmer, meteorologist, and carpenter before picking up his camera full time.</p>
<p>For twenty years, he&#8217;s professionally pursued his passion of photographing nature in all forms. His collection of images now numbers over 50,000.</p>
<p><em>Northwest Minnesota through the Seasons</em> features images of birds, mammals, insects, flowers and general scenics. Flaig will talk about why he photographs nature, the creative process, the hazards of photographing nature and where to find subjects to photograph.</p>
<p>He&#8217;s returned to his roots after roaming the US and has lived in the Fertile area for over ten years. Flaig has had images and articles published in books and periodicals such as <em>Ranger Rick</em>, <em>Outdoor Photographer</em>, <em>Birder&#8217;s World</em> and <em>Bird Watcher&#8217;s Digest</em>.</p>
