This program is presented by a fashionably dressed Vickie Wendel who follows women’s fashions from the sewing machine to ready-made clothing that came from the mail order catalog. She will explain the political and societal influences on the fashion trends of this time period. Sponsored by the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage fund.

Vikings in America? Hawley branch to host world premiere of the movie “Vinland”, a short film of horror, history and humor. The film maker and cast of Vinland will be at the Hawley branch for the world premiere of their short movie and to discuss the critical role libraries play in filmmaking.
