Looking for educational resources for youth in grades 7-12? The following learning tools are offered free-of-charge.

  • OverDrive eBooks for Kids and Teens*
    Many eBooks are available for free download, including those for beginning readers, audiobooks and read-alongs! Those who have a library card can start downloading eBooks by entering their card number. Adults who don’t have a card can sign up online here.
  • Britannica School Middle*
    Encyclopedia content for middle school grades plus multimedia, timelines, world atlas, country comparison, and primary sources.
  • Gale In Context: Middle School (Research In Context)*
    A middle school-appropriate database of reference works, biographies, magazine and journal articles, primary source documents, and multimedia.
  • Explora Teens*
    Contains middle and high school-appropriate magazine, journal, and encyclopedia articles and also includes primary source documents, reference books, and multimedia. Includes Middle Search Plus, MAS Ultra – School Edition, Consumer Health Complete, Health Source – Consumer Edition, and Science Reference Center databases.
  • Points of View Reference Center*
    Pro vs. con essays that present multiple sides of current or controversial issues. Plus magazine and newspaper articles, primary sources, and more related to those issues
  • Science Reference Center*
    Science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, and other sources covering numerous science topics for middle and high school students. Included in Explora Teens and Explora Library databases.
  • Gale In Context: High School (Student Resources In Context)*
    Encyclopedia, magazine, and journal articles, plus primary sources, images, video, and more for middle and high school students. Includes the InfoTrac Student Edition database.

    In this diverse collection of titles, middle grade readers will find books on a variety of educational and entertaining topics.
  • Audible for Kids and Teens
    For as long as schools are closed, kids everywhere can instantly stream a collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids. All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.
