A Galaxy of Our Own: The Immigration Game

Explore your own backyard! People come from all around the world to make Minnesota their home. Markus Krueger of the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County will lead kids in an interactive group game that compares the immigration stories of six real people who moved to northwest Minnesota over the last 150 years. Why did people move here from Norway, Kurdistan, and Mexico? Who took a sailboat and who took an airplane?
This program is made possible thanks in part to funding from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Legacy Fund.
Note: This event is offered in the place of the previously scheduled Lost in Space Magic Shows, which were canceled due to illness. We appreciate your understanding!
All library location closed after 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 24 and closed Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday.
