Gardening has many health benefits, but how do you get started? This presentation will cover some of the health benefits of gardening and then focus on the gardening basics. Learn about soil preparation, watering, site location, what to grow, when to plant, and how to care for your vegetable garden. This presentation is intended for beginning gardeners.

Join the Barnesville Public Library to learn how to create beautiful and nourishing gardens on your patio or other small spaces. Workshop facilitated by Jillian Patrie from Clay County Extension. Join your library for Gardening 101, facilitated by Jillian Patrie of Clay County Extension. Attendees will learn how to start their own garden and how to create beautiful and nourishing gardens in small spaces. Topics include:

- Selecting the right plants
- Tips and tricks for effective pest management
- What to do with your harvest

Attendees are encouraged to come with questions and ideas to share. All are welcome and the program is offered free-of-charge. No registration is required.
