Book Blizzard Kicks Off January 2!
We’re kicking off the New Year by launching Book Blizzard, a reading program that challenges adults to keep their reading resolutions. To enter the contest, participants can read or listen to four books or complete challenges, including attending a library event, joining a book club or bringing someone new to the library.
“The idea of Book Blizzard is to help readers keep their resolutions in the new year, and to create lasting relationships between our libraries and the communities they serve,” said Liz Lynch, director of LARL. “Studies have shown that people who read regularly are more likely to be more engaged in their community, and the new year is a great time to develop a new healthy habit. We are excited to offer this program across the region.”
The program kicks off on January 2, and will conclude at the end of February. To enter, participants can visit a library location near them or enter online.
