The holidays can be great, but hosting, traveling, and being around family and friends can also take a mental toll. Learn how to manage stress and anxiety around the holidays in this free presentation in partnership with Prairie St. John’s.

Battling the Winter Blues
Tuesday, January 4 at 6 PM at the Breckenridge Public Library
As the days get shorter, many people find themselves feeling sad. In this free presentation with Prairie St. John’s we will learn tips to manage our emotions during the tough winter months. We will also learn what signs and symptoms to watch for in ourselves and others.

Under Pressure: Youth & Mental Health
Tuesday, February 8 from 6:00 – 7:00pm at the Breckenridge Public Library
According to the American Psychological Association approximately one out of every five children in America has a diagnosable mental health disorder. Social pressures, home life, school, COVID, and other issues can also create additional burdens. Learn about common mental health issues that impact youth, tips to support the youth in your life and, and signs to look out for. This session presented with Prairie St. John’s is geared towards parents, teachers, daycare providers, and others interested in supporting youth mental health.

All library location closed after 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 24 and closed Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday.
