Detroit Lakes Library to Host Charles Beck Woodcut Collection

During January, the Detroit Lakes Public Library will host a collection of the works of Charles Beck, a Fergus Falls native who became known for woodcuts featuring the landscape and nature of Otter Tail County. The selection of wood cuts on display are from the collection of poet Timothy Murphy.

The Timothy Murphy Collection is on semi-permanent loan to The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum. This activity is funded in part by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council through a Minnesota state legislative appropriation.

The exhibit is located throughout the library and access is offered free-of-charge.

All library location closed after 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 24 and closed Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday.
