Detroit Lakes Library to Host Ice Climber Kendra Stritch as Part of Polar Fest

As part of Polar Fest the Detroit Lakes Public Library will offer a free presentation by competitive ice climber and Minnesota native Kendra Stritch.

Kendra will share her incredible experiences during her eight years competing in Ice Climbing World Cup competitions, including winning a gold medal in speed ice climbing at the World Cup in Bozeman Montana. Kendra began ice climbing in Minnesota after graduate school and fell in love with the unique and ephemeral qualities of frozen waterfalls. In this presentation, attendees will learn about ice climbing in remote regions of the Canadian Rockies and get an overview of exciting competitions around the world.

Tuesday, February 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Detroit Lakes Public Library

All library location closed after 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 24 and closed Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday.
