Fosston Library to Host Blackout Poetry Program in October

Unleash your creativity by playing with words! Blackout Poetry is a form of ‘found poetry’, which means that you choose words that catch your eye from a newspaper or other printed text and “redact” the other words, usually with a black marker.

Your chosen words will form a new message, giving the text a whole new meaning. Stop by the Fosston Public Library during the month of  October to pick up your book pages and start creating! Then, bring your finished poetry to the library by the end of October to be displayed and shared with others.

All library locations will be closed after 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 24 and closed Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday.
