Moorhead Library to Host “The River Is…” Art Exhibit through November 30

The Moorhead Public Library is hosting a special art exhibit featuring the Red River. With “The River Is…”, the creative works of visual artists are on display to deepen the general public’s understanding of the river’s impact on the region, communities, and daily lives.

From November 1-November 30, 2022, the works of 12 local artists will be exhibited at the Moorhead Public Library to kickstart a surprising, interactive art project designed to transform the way the public views the river, with the opportunity to participate for attendees.

The artists participating in the exhibit include Blayze Buseth, Chuck Christianson, John Charles Cox, Jenny Field, Karla Gallagher, Scott Gunvaldson, Mitch Hoffart, Richard and Penny Kagigebi, Sam Norman, John Olesen, Nancy X. Valentine, and Laura Youngbird.  This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Lake Region Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
