Try Something New: Blind Date With a Book

In honor of Valentine’s Day, consider trying a new book or genre with Blind Date With a Book at select libraries. To participate, simply select a wrapped mystery book from the library’s display and take a chance on falling in love with a book you haven’t read before!

Detroit Lakes Public Library
January 21-February 15, 2020
Are you ready for a mystery date? Go on a blind date with a book! Beginning January 22, select a wrapped book at the library, read it and then “rate your date” to be entered into a prize drawing to be held February 15.

Breckenridge Public Library
February 1-29, 2020
The library will offer a selection of mystery reads for youth, teens and adults.

Ada Public Library
February 4-21, 2020

Choose a mystery book from the library’s display, then rate your date to be entered for a prize.

Hawley Public Library
February 1-14, 2020
Go on a “blind date” for the valentine season! Each book will be covered with just a short description hinting at what the book is about. Take a chance on finding love with a new author or genre you may not have chosen before. Mystery books for youth, young adult and adults will be available.

Moorhead Public Library
February 3-29, 2020
Try something new with a mystery “binge bag”, containing three or four titles related to a specific theme and enjoy a selection of new-to-you books.

Barnesville Public Library
February 1-15, 2020

Go on a mystery date with a movie of your choice at the Barnesville Library, then rate your date to be entered into a prize drawing.

All library locations will be closed after 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 24 and closed Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday.
