Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors, Dec. 18 at the Moorhead Public Library

Join us for a presentation by the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter to learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s. Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage.

Topics include:

  • Identify common behavior triggers.
  • Decoding behavioral messages.
  • Learn strategies to help intervene in challenging situations.

Plus, Memory Cafe of the Red River Valley will be on hand to answer questions and offer resources for families impacted by Alzheimer’s.

See full event details here.

All library location closed after 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 24 and closed Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday.
