Upgraded Microfilm Readers Installed in Moorhead and Crookston

Are you interested in exploring local history? Perhaps you wish to peruse the archives of local publications for a genealogy research project. You can view historic publications and documents with microfilm readers at the Moorhead Public LibraryCrookston Public LibraryAda Public Library and the Fosston Public Library.

These libraries offer a collection of local historical publication archives on microfilm, including the Fargo Forum, Detroit Lakes Tribune, Norman County Index, Crookston Times and more. Plus, more documents are available to request with interlibrary loan.

Recently the microfilm readers in the Moorhead Public Library and Crookston Public Library were upgraded to provide an enhanced experience for users. Use of these devices is offered free-of-charge, with usual printing charges of $.10 per black and white page printed.

Lake Agassiz Regional Library offers a variety of tools to aid genealogy researchers, including free access to Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest. 

All library location closed after 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 24 and closed Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday.
