Chasing the Boogeyman by Richard Chizmar
This was a unique blend of fiction and true crime. While the book itself is fiction, it read like true crime and including a thrilling first person narrative with photo documentation of the investigation. It was a good mixture of authentic small town crime and nostalgic remembrances from the author as he returns to his hometown and recalls the chilling unsolved murders. The mystery kept me turning the pages and left me unsettled with how real it felt and if this was actually based on a real serial killer.
