Cook and Create Kits!

Cook and Create kits, curtesy of Prairie Public, are available while supplies last at select locations.

Prairie Public is partnering with libraries across Minnesota to offer Cook and Create Kits that families can check out and enjoy together! Our winter kit, Maple Magic, features maple syrup made in Maplewood State Park, a children’s book by Minnesota author Alan Page, and hands-on activities that explore local history, science, and food traditions. Families can cook, read, and learn together, all while celebrating the flavors and stories of Minnesota.

Kits will be available at the Ada, Climax, Hawley, Barnesville, and Breckenridge Library. Check with your location for availability.

Check out a kit and have fun completing the recipe and activities. Once you are finish, return the kit (minus the food items) to the library, and include a recipe of your own if you want!

These kits are made free and available to the public thanks to Prairie Public and funding from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
