Fees for Late Items

Items returned late will be subject to late fees and/or replacement charges.  After an item is 14 days overdue, a standard replacement fee will be charged along with a non-refundable $2 late fee per item.  Youth, Homebound and Institutional accounts are not charged the $2 late fee.

If a Lake Agassiz Regional Library item is returned in good condition, the replacement fee will be waived, but the $2 per item late fee will still apply. Customer-provided replacement copies will not be accepted in any case.

If a customer pays the replacement fee and later finds the Lake Agassiz Regional Library item and returns it in good condition within three months of the payment date, they will be refunded for the replacement charge. The $2 per item late fee will not be refunded.

*The above is applicable to items owned by Lake Agassiz Regional Library. Items owned by Northwest Regional Library are subject to policies set by Northwest Regional Library. 
LARL customers can pay fees using a credit card via the My Account section of the catalog.

Payment Scope

Customers will be able to use their credit cards for the following items.

  • Late Fees
  • Replacement Fees
  • Donations to the Library

Service Delivery

Nothing is being delivered, this service is only for paying for fees already accrued.

Returns

LARL does not issue refunds of fines paid.

LARL does issue partial refunds for replacement fees if an item is returned within 6 months of payment.  The processing fee is not refundable.  See policy for more details.

Privacy

LARL will not store any credit card information on any of its servers.  Credit Card information is transmitted to a 3rd party payment processor immediately upon transaction processing.
