Meet Me in Paradise by Libby Hubscher
I love any romance set on an island or on worldly adventures, but I also look for something with emotion connected to it. This was a little bit Mary Adkins When You Read This meets Trish Doller’s Float Plan.
This is not just a fluffy beach read. There are some heavy topics that are lightened by the adventures and side characters, but at the heart this about grief and self-discovery. The side characters were honestly my favorite and I want more books on them. In fact, I want a whole book of Lucas and Ken going on adventures and living life to the fullest. Laurentina could also have her own book and I’d read the heck out of it.
It took me a while to warm up to Marin because she is so stiff and I desperately wanted her to let loose. It’s so hard to see her on the outside of so many great moments she could open herself up to, but it makes her journey that much more satisfying.
I really don’t want to say much more except if you are looking for a heartwarming book, this might be it!
