Local and State funding only covers a portion of our expenses. The ongoing support of customers like you helps support our mission of strengthening communities and enriching lives.
Donate: Make a Contribution
You don’t need to make a long-term commitment to make a lasting impact. Each dollar you donate will go toward keeping the collection, programs, and community services we offer. If you would like to make a financial donation today, there are two choices:
A recurring donation of your choice allows you to make an easy and sustainable impact and allows us to sustain equitable services for all customers.
There are many ways to make a charitable, planned gift. One of the simplest is to give through your will or living trust. You can also make the Library a beneficiary of your retirement plan.
Various types of Charitable Trusts can provide specific benefits such as reductions in estate taxes, elimination of capital gains, and tax deduction that support your financial plan both now and in the future. A Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) can be a powerful tool for allowing you to make a significant gift to the Library while also providing tax advantages.
If you have questions about making a planned gift, please contact Jamie Sprynczynatyk at 218-233-3757 ext. 123 or email@example.com.
Gifts and Memorials
A gift made in one’s name is a meaningful way to mark a special occasion or to remember or honor a beloved family member, friend, or colleague.
Individual customers and organizations have used this service by donating money to purchase a book in honor of retirements, birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. Customers have also used the service to place a book in memory of friends or relatives that have passed on.
Donating money to purchase books and other items as memorials or gifts is very appropriate as they can be used over and over, benefiting numerous people in the community.
When your gift or memorial contribution is received, an acknowledgment card will be sent to the family of the person memorialized or to the person you have chosen to honor and recognize.
Library staff will carefully select materials and a book plate will be placed in the front of each book indicating to whom the book is dedicated.
Persons interested in giving a specific gift or donation to the library should contact Jeanne Anderson at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 218-233-3757 ext. 122.
Through a donation to the FM Area Foundation, you can provide sustaining support for years to come through the LARL Endowment program. Each of the LARL 13 branches has an existing endowment waiting for contributions. These contributions provide essential support that allows the Library to maintain its high level of service and programming, securing a healthy financial future for the Library.
