Welcome to the Moorhead Public Library! We hope you’ll stop by for friendly faces, helpful services and endless entertainment options.
Building Project:
Coming 2026! The City of Moorhead and the Moorhead Public Library are in the process of constructing a new Moorhead Community Center & Library. The new facility will be located in downtown Moorhead at the intersection of 5th Street and Center Avenue and will allow residents to read, walk, play, study and gather under one space. Learn more about the project here.
Student Cards:
The Moorhead Public Library has partnered with the Moorhead Area Public Schools to offer virtual Student Cards to students in grades 5-12, offering them access to both print and digital materials. Information about accessing library resources using a LARL Student Card is available here.
Wireless Printing:
Want to print documents at the library from outside the library using your phone, tablet or laptop? We now offer wireless printing.
Book Drop Location:
The library has a book drop on the exterior wall of the west side of the building. Book drops are also located in the library’s parking lot in front of the building and one in front of the Azool Hornbachers.
The Moorhead Public Library offers Notary Services, which includes affidavits, rental agreements, compliance agreements, contracts and more. Call the library to learn more.
The Moorhead Public Library has teamed up with ShredRight to provide a safe and secure way to shred your personal documents and paperwork. Learn more here.
The library has partnered with Minnesota’s Legal Kiosk Project to offer community members the ability to apply for civil legal aid services, access legal resources, and, in some cases, attend online meetings with attorneys and remote court hearings in privacy. Learn more about the Legal Kiosk Project and make a reservation here.
Faxes sent to the library’s fax machine should be marked “Attention: Moorhead Public Library.” Faxes cost $1 per page to send and $1 per page to receive.
