How Can I Participate in Self-Service Access?

  • Potential Self-Service Users must visit the Moorhead Public Library in The Loop in person to complete an application and a brief orientation. Simply stop at the front desk and ask a Lake Agassiz Regional Library staff member to assist you.
  • Be sure to bring a photo ID so we can ensure your account’s contact information is current.
  • During the orientation, staff will ensure your library card account is up to date and go over a few important procedures.
  • You will then sign our Self-Service Access Agreement acknowledging the Self-Service Access Policy and other library policies. We will provide a printed copy of the agreement at orientation and will assign you a numbered keyfob.
  • Staff will process your application and you will receive an email notification when your keyfob is activated and ready to use. This typically happens within 1-2 business days.
