Get into the Halloween spirit by decorating a pumpkin (or gourd) to look like your favorite book character.

Where: Ada Public Library

When:

     Submissions: October 12October 13

     Voting: October 17October 20 at Noon

     Pick-up: October 20 at Noon – October 24

Here’s How to Enter

1) Decorate a pumpkin or gourd (real or artificial) to look like any character from a book. Examples include: Clifford, Harry Potter or Pete the Cat.

2)  Pumpkins and gourds may be decorated with paint, markers, colored paper, felt, glue, glitter etc. (carved pumpkins and gourds will not be accepted).

3)  The entries may have non-pumpkin components, such as hats, glasses, or wigs, but the main portion of the entry must be a pumpkin or a gourd.

Entries will be divided into the following age categories: ages 6 & under, ages 7-12, ages 13-17, ages 18 and older (one entry per person please)

 

 

 

 

 

All library location closed after 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 24 and closed Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the holiday.
