Celebrating the Book Return Art Installations of 2024

One of the highlights of 2024 was the installation of artwork on four book returns. LARL book returns in Climax, Crookston, Fertile and Mahnomen had a new look with vinyl wraps featuring artwork designed by local artists. Check out these exciting updates! In 2024, LARL issued a Request for Proposals for artists to create artistic designs for metal book return boxes with artists selected in Fall 2024. Installation of artwork for locations in Halstad and Climax is expected in Spring 2025. This project was made possible thanks in part to funding from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
