Grand Reopening and Holiday Open House Planned in Crookston

An Open House to celebrate the completion of a months-long renovation project will be held at the Crookston Public Library. The Open House, which will feature refreshments, tours and recognition of the many individuals and community groups who made the project possible, is scheduled Sunday, December 9 from 4-6 p.m. This event is offered free of charge and is open to all.

The renovation encompassed improvements to the library’s teen area, sun room, meeting room and public restrooms. The project was made possible by a $150,000 grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation, $25,000 of which was matched dollar-for-dollar by the community.

“We’re thrilled to invite the community to celebrate the culmination of this exciting renovation”, said Chris Boike, Crookston Library director. “We work hard to provide a space that meets the needs of our community and are deeply grateful for the support of the Otto Bremer Trust and the many community members and groups who made it possible. We hope many of you will join us to celebrate this enhancement to the library.”
