Renovations Nearly Complete at the Rothsay Library LINK Site

We are pleased to announce a renovation project at the Rothsay Library LINK Site, which is located at 203 1st Ave. SW in the PARTNERS building. The renovation was made possible thanks to PARTNERS (Senior Living at Home), which owns the facility. The renovation included the removal of a wall to create more space in the library area and the installation of new carpeting and a permanent sitting area for laptop use. Updated furniture, including shelving, a children’s book bin and table, a desk and slat wall, will be provided by Lake Agassiz Regional Library.

“We are so happy with the results of this renovation,” said Marlys Winkels, LINK Site Coordinator for Rothsay. “The improvements will allow us to better serve the community and we hope to see many community members stop by to see the updates and to learn what their local library has to offer! And, thank you to PARTNERS for funding this project. It would not be possible without their support.”

Lake Agassiz Regional Library operates nine LINK Site locations, in addition to 13 branch locations. The LINK Sites house a rotating collection of books and movies, all of which can be checked out free of charge with a library card. Library cards are available free of charge to residents of the seven counties served by LARL (Becker, Clay, Clearwater, Mahnomen, Norman, Polk and Wilkin counties). Those interested in signing up for a library card can simply visit the LINK Site and present identification with a current address, or apply online at larl.org/applyonline.
