Moorhead Public Library Announces Temporary Hours Ahead of Move to The Loop

As the Moorhead Public Library prepares for its highly anticipated move to The Loop, the library has announced a temporary schedule for its current location at 118 th St. S. The modified hours will allow library staff to move the collection and other items while continuing to offer community members access to library services.

Phase 1: March 2 – March 7
Beginning March 2, the library will begin relocating items to the new facility. During this first week of the move, the 118 5th St. S. location will be open:

Monday -Thursday: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Phase 2: Starting March 9

Beginning March 9, staff will get to work setting up the new Moorhead Public Library in The Loop. The 5th St. location will remain open for limited service on the following days:

Monday: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Phase 3: Starting March 30

The Moorhead Public Library will be closed from March 30-April 4 to allow staff time to prepare the new space.

Opening Day: April 8

The Moorhead Public Library in the Loop will open its doors Wednesday, April 8 at 9 a.m. A Grand Opening Celebration is scheduled Saturday, April 18.
