A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers
This book is a gentle imagining of a future in which people and robots live separately and explores the question about what we need to live and live well. The world of this story is so interesting, the non-binary main character’s voice so clear and deeply human, and the unlikely friendship between a wandering monk and an inquisitive robot is so endearing. This book and its sequel, A Prayer for the Crown-Shy, are just such a soothing, contemplative balm. I switched between audio and e-book for this one, and the narration fit the character so well!
