Forstchen follows a small-town college professor trying to protect his family and community after an EMP attack wipes out modern technology in the U.S. With no power, medicine, or supply chains, everyday survival becomes a constant struggle, and he’s forced into a leadership role as society unravels. It’s one of my favorite post-apocalyptic series. The way the author captures the small, everyday survival details makes the whole story feel incredibly real.
